Going once, going twice ... and sold!

A picture auction organised by the Friends of the Foundation

For the second time, the Friends of the International Youth Library Foundation have invited popular and successful illustrators of picture books and children’s books to donate original illustrations and drawings for this auction. You can bid on these works, for example, as a favourite picture for your own children, grandchildren or family friends, or for illustration enthusiasts who are young at heart. Or simply as a lasting treat for yourself.

We are grateful that the event will be hosted and the auction conducted by Reverend Rainer Maria Schießler of St Maximilian, who is well known and much loved far beyond the city limits of Munich.

Following the auction, over a glass of wine and butter pretzels, you will have the opportunity to chat with the artists in attendance and Reverend Schießler about your new treasures.

The Friends of the IYL will use the proceeds to fund upcoming projects of the International Youth Library Foundation.
