Children's Library

The Children’s Library contains 30,000 books in over 20 different languages, all of which can be lent out free of charge. There are also regular game, drawing and craft events with themes based on books and stories for children of preschool and elementary school ages.

Children four years and older are welcome to visit the free monthly meeting of the reading and storytelling group “Büchertreff.” Children ten years and older can attend the “Buch auf – Film ab” (Open a book – Create your own film) series and receive help making their own short films based on stories they invent or adapt.

Important: When visiting the Children’s Library for the first time, the child’s parent or legal guardian must bring an identification card or passport and registration certificate to create a library card.
