The award-winning artist Binette Schroeder has amassed a collection of over 5,800 artistically valuable picture books from all over the world from the year of publication 1960 onwards, as well as historical picture books. In 2005, she gave her entire collection to the International Youth Library on permanent loan.
The collection is part of the permanent exhibition on Binette Schroeder’s work and is on display in the “treasure room” of the International Youth Library Foundation. It can be accessed on the webOPAC online catalogue under the heading “BSI/*.” As with all of the book holdings of the International Youth Library, these books can be viewed in the reading room.
