For more than 15 years, the ‘Children's Calendar’ has been pursuing the goal of awakening joy in children's poems, sparking curiosity about other languages and countries, and thus promoting understanding, appreciation and enthusiasm for cultural diversity around the globe.

The ‘Kinder Kalender 2026’ brings together 53 poems in 32 languages from 40 countries, including, for the first time, a poem in Filipino, Gooniyandi, Indonesian, Icelandic and Totonac. There are also poems in Latvian and Catalan, as well as verses from distant countries such as Egypt, Brazil and New Zealand. There is much to discover: on each page, the original text (also in scripts such as Greek, Japanese and Korean), the German translation and the original illustration form an artistically designed whole.

The ‘Children's Calendar’ has won numerous awards, most recently the German Book Trade's Calendar Prize as ‘One of the ten best calendars for 2025’.
