"My children's calendar poem"

My Children's Calendar Poem 2025

Since 2011, the International Youth Library Foundation has been publishing an illustrated calendar featuring international poetry for children. Since 2017, children have been able to design their own illustrated poems on a blank page provided for this purpose and are invited to submit them to the calendar page competition.

This year, we have received more than 100 illustrated poems. The jury had a very difficult time making their selection, but now the winners have been decided!

We would like to thank all the families, children, schools and kindergartens who have sent in their self-designed calendar pages! The submissions are a wonderfully colourful collection of cheerful, thoughtful and entertaining contributions.

The winners are:

“The Wild Forest” by Veva Marie Bieber

“The Gegmei” by Jule Wiedman (10) and Romy Levy (10)

“Numbers in Motion” by Alberta Mattmann (9)

“mice world” by Elisabeth & Anton Hug (4)
