4th updated edition of the travelling exhibition ‘We are family!’

The travelling exhibition ‘We are Family!’ will be available in a revised version from April 2026. The popular exhibition was first shown at the International Youth Library in 2011 with the title ‘We are Family! Depictions of family in contemporary picture books’ was first shown at the International Youth Library in 2011. Since 2012, it has been an integral part of our travelling exhibition programme and has been shown at around 80 locations, including numerous libraries, family education centres, literature houses and others, primarily in German-speaking countries.

With an almost completely renewed selection of current picture books and illustrations, the travelling exhibition takes a look at the many different ways children grow up today, examining key aspects of family life. It will travel under the new title ‘We are Family! Family Diversity in Today's Picture Books’ and will be on display for the first time in April during a literature festival in Luxembourg.
