Response-Project "Winterreise"
In cooperation with BRSO und du
As part of the cooperation with the BRSO und du, we combine a poetry workshop with the musical aspect of a response workshop. In this project, students create their own texts and music to Hans Zender's "Winterreise".
In the process, one group improvises and experiments with sounds, while a second plays with language and phonetics. Poet Karin Fellner, music mediator Uta Sailer, and members of the BRSO accompany the students on their lyrical-musical journey. The result will be verbal and musical responses to Hans Zender's "composed interpretation" of Franz Schubert's song cycle "Winterreise".
In a pre-concert on 18 December 2023, the students will present their results to the evening's audience and thereby offer listeners a special concert introduction. Afterwards, they attend the performance of Zender's work by the BRSO Academy under the direction of Sir Simon Rattle.
