Text & Production Workshop
The new audio guide by children for the Michael-Ende-Museum
The Michael Ende Museum in the International Youth Library houses a large part of Michael Ende's personal estate, including furniture, books, pictures, his stone collection, his guitar and much more. This place is full of stories that can be used to tell the exciting life of the author of books such as “Jim Button”, “Momo” and “The Neverending Story”.
Workshop:
From the 4th to the 8th of August eight children took part in our text and production workshop. They created an audio guide under the guidance of radio journalist Isabelle Auerbach, IYL employee Anne Ballhorn and the musician Kilian Unger. The children made objects such as the stone collection, the guitar or a wardrobe speak and prepared eight takes, which young (and old) museum visitors will be able to use in future.
The project teached the kids a lot about Michael Ende and technical production processes. Above all, however, they became authors themselves, whose texts and short radio plays are intended to entertain other children in the long term and inspire them for Michael Ende.
Starting on September 20, the new audio guide will be available in the Michael Ende Museum.
The project is sponsored by the Gewinn-Sparverein der Sparda-Bank München e.V.
