NotenTexte. "The Song Contest of the Heather Bunnies" - family concerts
For the fifth year running, the International Youth Library and the BRSO (Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra) are hosting the series ‘NotenTexte. Literature and Music for Children’. In this series, music picks up on the moods, tensions and plots of stories and continues them in sounds, rhythms and linguistic images. A narrator tells popular stories and fables or recites poems in different languages. Musicians from the BRSO take up the texts with their instruments and intensify their atmosphere. To mark the 100th birthday of author, poet and language artist James Krüss, the new production in the ‘NotenTexte’ series is dedicated to “The Song Contest of the Heather Bunnies”.
The best singer is to be crowned in Obereidorf. Lamprecht the Seventh, king of hares and rabbits, promises the winner his daughter's hand in marriage. The favourite is Lodengrün the rabbit, with whom the princess has already fallen in love.
