Text & Production Workshop
How do I produce an audio guide? Children explain the Michael Ende Museum to children
The Michael Ende Museum in the International Youth Library houses a large part of Michael Ende's personal estate, including furniture, books, pictures, his stone collection, his guitar and much more. This place is full of stories that can be used to tell the exciting life of the author of books such as “Jim Button”, “Momo” and “The Neverending Story”.
In the text and production workshop, children create an audio guide for children under the guidance of radio journalist Isabelle Auerbach and a musician, which young museum visitors will be able to use in future. They make objects such as the stone collection, the guitar or a wardrobe speak and prepare six to eight takes.
The project teaches children a lot about Michael Ende and technical production processes. Above all, however, they become authors themselves, whose texts and short radio plays are intended to entertain other children in the long term and inspire them for Michael Ende.
