Crafting Houses of Lights

For more than 30 years, the atmospheric Festival of Lights has been held on the first weekend in December as part of the Blutenburg Christmas Market. The little houses of light, which transform the pond in front of the castle into a sea of lights that evening, can be made by children and an adult companion all day on the Day of Prayer and Repentance in the International Youth Library.

Anyone who is unable to take part in the craft activity can purchase a craft kit to take home from the children's library from 1 November for a fee of €6.

No registration needed.
Cost: € 6.00 per child

At 4 p.m. and 4:45 p.m., Veronica Maidl will hold a German reading sessoin about the Feast of Saint Lucy with Kamishibai in the Christa Spangenberg Hall. Admission is free and no registration is required.
