Award Ceremony

James Krüss Prize

Jella-Lepman-Hall

The James Krüss Prize for International Children's and Youth Literature, established in 2013, will be awarded for the fifth time. The author's community of heirs has offered the prize in memory of the writer, language artist and cosmopolitan James Krüss and has commissioned the International Youth Library to provide content and organisational support.

The award recognises and promotes the work of a living author of books for children and young people whose texts are characterised by linguistic brilliance, originality, imaginative narrative and cosmopolitanism.
