For 50 years, the language specialists of the International Youth Library have been scouring the children's and youth book production from all over the world for high-quality and particularly interesting books. The results are being presented in the recommendation list "The White Ravens". At the International Children's Book Fair in Bologna, the library presents its book selection to experts.
Accompanying the book exhibition, library staff members will discuss aspects and topics of international children's literature on a podium. This year, Chinese Children's and Children's Literature Librarian Lucia Obi presents children's books from China, which she recommends as White Ravens, and talks about trends she is watching with her European perspective on the Chinese book market. The podium discussion is also a contribution to the guest of honor-appearance of China in Bologna.
