The Children's Library (KiBi)

The children's library is housed in beautiful premises and, in addition to an international lending collection, offers a course and entertainment program for children and families. The Children’s Library contains 20,000 books in over 24 different languages, all of which can be lent out free of charge. The book stocks are constantly updated, so that many new releases and award-winning books can be found on the shelves.

Books in the following languages are available for borrowing:
Arabic, Chinese, Croatian, Czech, Dutch, German, English, French, Greek, Hungarian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Persian, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Russian, Swedish, Slovakian, Slovenian, Spanish, Turkish and Ukrainian.

You can find the current program at KiBi here.

Opening hours and lending

The children's library is open Monday through Friday from 2:00 to 6:00 pm.

Books and other media can be borrowed for up to four weeks. Two renewals of four weeks each are possible, provided the titles have not been pre-ordered by other readers. An extension can only be requested one week before the end of the period. It can be done in person, by phone, by e-mail or online.

Online renewal

4. Look in the upper right corner on FURTHER OPTION and EXTEND ACCOUNT.
5. Click on "renew".
