Wanderausstellung
The exhibition invites visitors on a pictorial journey that leads from Egypt and Sudan via Syria to Lebanon and Iraq. On the way/While “travelling”, visitors can discover an illustration scene that is largely unknown in Germany and outside of the artists’ home countries.
On display are works by eight Arab illustrators from the past 15 years that give a vivid impression of the awareness of tradition, but also of the modernity and independence of current children's book illustration in the Arab world.

Content of the exhibition:
100 original illustrations and prints. Panels with introduction and illustrator portraits. About 20 picture books
For the exhibition, 40 frames can be provided (format: 60 x 80 cm). Optionally, an installation by the artist Walid Taher can be borrowed.
An information brochure in German was published to accompany the exhibition. It contains a selection of coloured illustrations, portraits of the illustrators, and bibliographical information for the books.
