Friendship – Love – Trust – Picture book

A girl and a polar bear: Only these two are featured in this book. To the naked eye, the huge animal and the small human child couldn’t be any more different, and yet they are soulmates whose hearts beat in unison and who understand each other without words. Sometimes they’re inseparable; sometimes each one is on his or her own. Still, an invisible connection always remains palpable. Text and pictures focus exclusively on the two protagonists: the peaceful, impressive, picture-frame-bursting bear and the dainty, cheerful, life-affirming girl. With a few simple sentences, the child describes this jovial, unique relationship that is built upon
security and trust, dependability and affection, faithfulness and individuality. Soft pastel colours dominate the illustrations, with only the girl’s bright red shock of hair standing out. In a poetic and associative way, the pictures present this little universe of friendship and love. (Age: 6+)
