This picture book uses few but powerful words and minimalist typography to make the text stand out. This short story in verse was initially written by the timeless Gianni Rodari for the ≫Libro degli errori≪ (Book of mistakes, 1964).

This new edition is illustrated by Allegra Agliardi, a Milanese illustrator and graphic artist who has been part of the illustrator scene in Italy and abroad since 2001. Agliardi employs a colourful palette to illustrate Rodari’s text. Her drawings animate an inquisitive child capable of observing the world and trying out new things. The magical captive balloon that floats in the air over a map without borders welcomes the child into a special school of life that makes new insights, experiences, emotions, and encounters possible.
