Duran, Teresa (text) Max (illus.) Quč hi ha per a sopar? (What’s for supper?) Barcelona: Publ. de l’Abadia de Montserrat, 1996. 24pp (Popof i Kocatasca; 1) ISBN 84-7826-719-0 Winter - Soup - Rooster - Hunting On account of the biting frost, the queen commands the royal cook, Popov, to cook a hearty soup. But all of the chickens which might be eligible for this meal are warned by the suspicious rooster, Kocatasca, and flee the castle in a panic. When the enraged Popov sets off to hunt down Kocatasca instead, he quite accidentally defeats a dangerous dragon. As a result, various dragon dishes can be served and the poultry is saved. This humorous story, the first in a new series, is accompanied by comic-like pictures which give excellent expres-sion to the pace and grotesqeness of the text. (8+)
