Rural life - Everyday life - School - Internet
In this moody fantasy set in a Russian village, the popular Russian author of children's
literature, Eduard Uspenskij, gives children an impression of what the internet really is
and what one can do with it. Uspenskij plays on the fact that children are much more
competent in the use of computers and the internet than most adults. Of course, this leads
to a reversal of roles: it is no longer the child-ren who learn from the grown-ups.
Instead, Uncle Fedor takes »lessons« with the children. The text is richly illustrated
with fun-filled pictures. (9+)
