Closed due to modernization

Dear children and parents,
dear friends of our children's library!

we are very happy to announce that the children's library in Schloss Blutenburg will be modernized. Our beautiful rooms with the columns and the old vaults will be completely redesigned. They are to become brighter, more modern and more inviting for all users.

The children's library will therefore be closed from

November 1, 2023 until March 21, 2024.

Unfortunately, this means that we will not be able to offer you regular lending services during the next few months. We regret this very much.

However, we are still available for the return of books and other media. You can return them on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday between 1 and 3 pm and on Tuesday between 4 and 6 pm. From December 5, 2023 onwards, the return will take place at "Konferenzraum".

Plan of the castle

The reopening of the children's library is planned for March 22, 2024. We want to celebrate this event with you with a brilliant family party. You are already cordially invited to attend.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us. You can also send us an e-mail during closing times via ausleihe@ijb.de or continue to contact us by phone at (089) 891211 60.

Cordially,

Your Kibi Team

Children's Library (KiBi)

The children's library is housed in beautiful premises and, in addition to an international lending collection, offers a course and entertainment program for children and families. The Children’s Library contains 27,000 books in over 24 different languages, all of which can be lent out free of charge. The book stocks are constantly updated, so that many new releases and award-winning books can be found on the shelves.

Books in the following languages are available for borrowing:
Arabic, Chinese, Croatian, Czech, Dutch, German, English, French, Greek, Hungarian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Persian, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Russian, Swedish, Slovakian, Slovenian, Spanish, Turkish and Ukrainian.

You can find the current program at KiBi here.
